Basingstoke Town FC to hold Guinness World Record attempt

Taking place on Saturday, June 6, the football club has invited the community to join a global network of cities, including New York, Los Angeles, Mexico City, and Vancouver.

The attempt aims to set a Guinness World Record for the most people simultaneously juggling a football.

The event seeks to unite participants from various cities and towns across the world, offering Basingstoke residents a chance to be part of a certified global achievement.

The event, which will be at Winklebury Football Complex and supported by the Hampshire FA, will run from 3pm to 7pm.

The 10-second world record attempt is scheduled for 5.30pm.

The club warmly invites spectators and families to join in the festivities, with the Clubhouse open all day serving food and drinks.

Participants need to register at footballworldrecord.com to receive an official world record certificate.

A $15 (£11.11) fee applies, and participants must bring their own size 5 football.

The club is inviting as many people as possible from the Basingstoke community to become part of this global sporting event at Winklebury.

The club is also seeking volunteers to assist with the event's organisation.

The campaign is committed to defending 'where football lives', aiming to protect the game and ensure future generations can enjoy playing and watching football on a healthy planet.

The club's event on June 6, represents a unique opportunity for the Basingstoke community to come together and play a direct role in a global sporting moment.

By encouraging as many people as possible to participate, the club hopes to make history at Winklebury.
