Whitchurch Open Air Theatre with three days of family shows

The Whitchurch Open Air Theatre will return to Whitchurch, from Friday, July 24, to Sunday, July 26, promising three days of live children’s entertainment at 11am and 2pm each day.

Lucie Follett Maitland, chair of Whitchurch Conservation Group, said: "Whitchurch Open Air Theatre gives families the opportunity to enjoy high-quality live theatre at a genuinely affordable price.

"Thanks to successful grant funding, we’ve been able to keep ticket prices heavily subsidised, making the event accessible to as many local families as possible."

Each show will take place at the Fulling Mill riverside meadow and costs just £4 per person, with children aged two and under admitted free of charge.

This year’s programme includes Astro Norma and the Cosmic Piano by Fladam Theatre for ages three to 10, Books! by Tit for Tat Circus for ages six to 11, and The Wizard and The Mechanic by Adventure Arts Theatre for children aged five to 11.

Established in 2024, the outdoor theatre event is held every two years, alternating with the award-winning family arts festival, Whitchurch Children’s Festival.
