A CRAFT beer festival with a twist is returning to a Hampshire farm this summer, with nine breweries, four live music acts and even a kombucha producer all set to descend on Dummer Down Farm near Basingstoke.
The Festival of Breweries takes place on Saturday, July 4, running from 1pm until late, and marks the second edition of what proved to be a hugely popular event last year.
Each brewery has its own stand and sets its own prices, a deliberate choice to celebrate the individual character of each producer.
"The Festival of Breweries is essentially a beer festival, but with more than just beer," said Andrew Ferguson, who runs the farm with his family.

"This year, we've got a Kombucha company. It's a really good line-up. The breweries have their own stands and set their own prices. I think it's a really nice event; there are not many like it in the Basingstoke area."
The confirmed line-up of breweries and producers includes host brewery Dummer Down, Steam Town Brew Co, Flower Pots, Mysterious Brewing, Elusive Brewing, Silly Moo Cider, Electric Bear, Vibrant Forest Brewery and kombucha maker, Momo.
Four live acts will perform across the day: The Sonic Strays, The Picton Readers Club, According to Brian and Interesting Wallpaper, all acts listed with the Sofa City Sounds arts organisation.
Every ticket includes a festival cup, and camping is available on site for £10 per person — making it a viable overnight option for those travelling from further afield. Last year's event sold out, and the farm is urging people to book quickly once tickets go live.
Ferguson said the brewery itself was in an exciting period: "We're really happy with the beer — we have three new 500-litre serving tanks, which are really exciting developments. The beer is served straight from the tanks, and they are very close to being up and running."
He added that the farm as a whole was growing: "It's year two of our garden, and the café is going from strength to strength. We've got good staff, we're happy with the beer and we're looking forward to hosting some new food vans."
