A festive favourite is returning to the stage for another season of laughs and magic.
Chris Pizzey, beloved for his roles and directing in The Anvil’s annual pantomimes, will take on the character of Louis Le Plonk in this year’s production of Beauty and the Beast, running from December 10, 2026, to January 3, 2027.
Pizzey first appeared at The Anvil in 2015 as part of Jack and the Beanstalk and has since become a regular fixture in the venue’s Christmas shows.

He has earned a loyal following for his comic performances and behind-the-scenes direction.
Matthew Cleaver, chief executive at Anvil Arts, said: "We are delighted that audiences always choose to come to The Anvil for their Christmas entertainment.
"It’s great to see families returning year after year, and to welcome those discovering panto for the first time."
Last year’s panto, Aladdin, was a huge hit with audiences, with many describing it as one of the best they have seen.
Pizzey’s return is expected to bring plenty of laughter and festive spirit once again.
