A martial arts academy has achieved national recognition for its commitment to safety and child protection.
Shin Gi Tai Martial Arts Academy in Basingstoke has received the Safeguarding Code in Martial Arts for the eighth year running.
The code, supported by Sport England, recognises clubs that maintain the highest standards in welfare, safety and child protection.

Toni Cooper, welfare officer at the academy, said: "Our priority has always been creating a safe, inclusive and supportive environment for every student.
"Receiving this award for a third year in a row reflects the dedication of our coaches, staff, and community in upholding those values every single day."
Shin Gi Tai was the second martial arts club in the UK to achieve the safeguarding code and continues to lead the way in setting standards within the sport.
The award marks continued progress for the academy, which will soon expand with a new location opening in Winchester.
