A musical featuring classic Queen hits is coming to Basingstoke.

We Will Rock You will run from May 12-16, delivered by the Basingstoke Amateur Theatrical Society (BATS), and marks the first time the popular musical will be seen on The Haymarket stage.

Packed with more than 20 Queen anthems, including Bohemian Rhapsody, Somebody to Love, We Are The Champions, Radio GaGa and Don’t Stop Me Now, the performance promises an energy-filled experience.

The cast includes Dale Barrell as Galileo, Grace Trinder as Scaramouche, Sally Manning as Killer Queen, and Ian Moseley as Khashoggi.

The Bohemians are led by Gaz Cottier as Brit, Chloe Ballard as Oz and Richard Bond as Buddy.

We Will Rock You is directed and choreographed by Jenny Sawyer, who staged BATS’ production of Come From Away in 2025.

The musical’s live rock band is led by Simon Eastwood.

The show is scripted by Ben Elton and takes place in a future where creativity is banned and rock music is forgotten.

Rebel dreamers fight back to restore freedom, fun and the presence of music in a world ruled by conformity.

The show is suitable for ages 14 and over, with under 16s needing to be accompanied by an adult.
