Basingstoke Town FC seeking new sponsors for its shirts

The community-run side, founded in 1896, is looking for three new commercial partners as its current multi-year sponsorship deal comes to an end. The club is offering front-of-shirt, back-of-shirt and sleeve sponsorship packages, which will run across its men’s and women’s first teams, academy college programme and youth sides.

Officials say they are primarily seeking three-year deals to “build a lasting legacy” and are positioning the packages as a rare chance to be at the heart of what they describe as the most significant commercial chapter in the club’s history. Each sponsor’s branding will appear not only on match kits but also on official retail merchandise sold in the club shop and online.

From the 2026/27 season, sponsors will feature on three different kits: Basingstoke’s traditional blue and yellow home strip, its popular mint away kit and a special limited-edition 130th anniversary shirt commissioned to mark the milestone. The club says the designs are worn across more than 17 teams and generate regular visibility in digital highlights, press photography and social media content.

Rather than offering an off-the-shelf package, 'Stoke is promising bespoke agreements built around each partner’s marketing and community goals. Potential add-ons include pitchside advertising, matchday hospitality, fan engagement activities, joint campaigns and community projects, alongside dedicated social media coverage to a combined following of more than 20,000 people.

Sustainability is also a key part of the pitch. Through a partnership with manufacturer Hope + Glory, the club’s adult shirts are made using ‘Eco-Kit’ technology, with each garment produced from recycled plastic bottles and a tree planted for every adult shirt manufactured. Club bosses say this offers businesses with environmental, social and governance (ESG) targets a tangible way to demonstrate their green credentials while backing a local institution.

As a not-for-profit Community Benefit Society run by volunteers, the club says every pound raised through the three sponsorships will be reinvested into its infrastructure and the wider community.

Chairman Jack Miller said: “Our 130th anniversary is a celebration of our history, but these sponsorships are about our future. We aren’t just looking for a logo on a shirt; we are looking for partners who share our values and want to lead our club into its next chapter.

“As a volunteer-run, not-for-profit club, this investment is the lifeblood of everything we do; it has a genuine and direct impact on the day-to-day running of our club and everyone involved in our community. We want to work with businesses that take pride in their community and want to be synonymous with the heritage, community, and integrity that Basingstoke Town Community FC stands for.”

The club is also highlighting its track record of creative campaigns with sponsors. In 2024/25, a collaboration with The AA saw Basingstoke launch a special “seatbelt” shirt as part of a road safety initiative, a move that attracted local and national coverage and was discussed by former England striker Ian Wright on The Overlap podcast.

The deadline for agreeing the new sponsorship deals is the end of April 2026 to allow kits to be manufactured in time for next season.
