Hairdresser of the Year 2026 shortlist revealed as voting begins

The annual competition celebrates the very best in hairdressing, from long‑established salons to independent stylists and mobile hairdressers, all nominated by customers who believe their hairdresser goes above and beyond.

After hundreds of nominations from readers, salons and stylists have been recognised for their exceptional service, creativity and dedication to their clients.

In no particular order, we can now reveal the 2026 shortlist below:

All you have to do now is vote for your winner and they could be in with a chance of being awarded our Hairdresser of the Year title.

Simply buy a copy of the newspaper and mark your chosen stylist on the voting coupon printed inside.

Voting coupons will appear in the Basingstoke Gazette on April 9 and April 16.
