Chinese New Year festivities at Cherry Blossom Manor

Chinese New Year celebrations have brought colour and flavour to a care home.

Cherry Blossom Manor in Bramley marked the start of the Year of the Horse with a lively event.

Residents, relatives and staff embraced the festivities by dressing up and sampling a spread of Chinese dishes.

General manager at Cherry Blossom Manor, said: "This has been a huge amount of fun and the residents have thoroughly enjoyed trying all the different types of Chinese food."

One resident also shared their delight. Ron said: "I used really enjoy a Chinese takeaway so this has been a great day to enjoy the food and fun."

The care home provides residential, nursing and dementia care for 77 residents.

It is run by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers, which is committed to delivering personalised care across its care homes and hospitals.
