A Basingstoke care home has celebrated Lunar New Year with a colourful day of decorations, food and cultural activities.
St Thomas Care Home, part of Barchester Healthcare, was transformed with red and gold lanterns, ornaments and themed displays that sparked conversation and memories among residents.
The kitchen team prepared a special menu of Chinese dishes, including spring rolls, egg fried rice, noodles and prawn crackers, alongside sweet treats and fortune cookies.

Jenny Rafemoyo, general manager at St Thomas Care Home, said: "We are always looking for meaningful ways to celebrate different cultures and create memorable experiences for our residents.
"Marking occasions such as Chinese New Year helps to promote inclusivity, spark curiosity and, most importantly, bring joy to everyday life in our home."
The celebration brought together residents, relatives and staff, filling the home with laughter and a spirit of togetherness.
For many residents, the opportunity to try new foods and learn about different traditions was both exciting and enriching.
