The Basingstoke Gazette published six death notices last week.
Every week, the Gazette publishes death notices and funeral announcements from the families of loved ones who have passed away.
As well as appearing in print, our death notice pages will remain online as a lasting tribute to the memory of those we have lost.

16-5-1940 - 16-01-2026 Passed away peacefully at St Michaels Hospice following a brave battle with cancer. Mike will be sadly missed by his wife Pat, family and friends.

Passed away on the 27th December 2025, aged 102 years. John will be dearly missed by his sons Robert, Peter and Michael, family and friends.

Doris 'Dot' Smith
Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Oakridge House care home on 26th December 2025 aged 83 years. Dot will be forever loved and greatly missed by her family and friends.

Donald 'Don' Turnbull
Sadly passed away on Sunday 4th January 2026. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his wife Val, his children Karen, David, Chrystine and his grandson George his wider family, his friends and the Judo community. The funeral service will take place at West Berkshire Crematorium on Friday 6th February 2026 at 4.00pm.

Margaret Sylvia Patching
Passed away on the 12th January 2026, aged 77 years. Reunited with her husband David and daughter Tracey.

Malcolm Lobb
Malcolm sadly passed away at Frimley Park Hospital on Wednesday 7th January 2026, aged 77 years old. He will be dearly missed by his wife Rosina, daughters Lisa and Joanne, granddaughters Orla and Scarlett, family and friends.
