A WOMEN's strength training club is celebrating four years of empowering members.

The Barbelle Club, based at Pitt Hall Barn, has marked its fourth anniversary since launching in 2020, and has grown into a vibrant community focused on personal training, powerlifting, and group classes in a supportive, non-intimidating environment.

Erin Burbidge, founder of The Barbelle Club, said: "Hitting the four-year mark is a testament to the incredible women who walk through our doors every day.

"We set out to move away from the typical gym environment and create a colourful space where women truly feel empowered to lift weights, set ambitious goals, and celebrate their personal victories."

The club’s core programme, 'Strength in Self-Love', reflects its focus on building both physical and mental resilience.

Members have described the club as a unique and uplifting place to train.

One member said: "The Barbelle Club is the ultimate gym hangout for women.

"The pink dumbbells, the purple weight plates, the starry ceiling – it’s not only gorgeous to look at but it’s also such a fun and welcoming place to workout."

To mark the anniversary, the club has announced the return of its community event, The Girly Games.

The Barbelle Club’s approach has resonated with women seeking an alternative to traditional gyms, prioritising not just progress in the gym but overall wellbeing and confidence.

The club offers personalised personal training alongside specialised group classes.

The Barbelle Club is inviting members of the public and the media to join its ongoing celebrations and learn more about the benefits of strength training.
