IN PICTURES: Basingstoke Pride & Parade takes over town

Basingstoke's second pride took over the town on August 16, with crowds coming to support and take part in the celebrations.

Mia Marks, co-director of Basingstoke Pride, said: “I'm so happy with the turnout, everyone seems to be having a good time. It's really lovely.

“It's about Basingstoke coming together and building provisions for the community. For us, it's about bringing everyone together, sharing visibility, connecting and slowly over time changing hearts and minds.

People of all age groups joined in with the fun!
