A NEW 24-hour gym with 'unique' equipment is opening in Basingstoke.
As previously reported, Jetts 24/7 Fitness is opening its doors in Chineham Shopping Centre inside the former Iceland unit.
With work well underway to bring the gym to life, an opening date has officially been revealed by the Australian health company, which now operates more than 300 gyms worldwide.
The new gym will open its doors on Monday, August 11, and owner Vishnu Kiran Nayar promises it will be "unique."

He said: "Jetts Basingstoke will be the 21st Jetts club in the UK and will open on Monday, August 11.
"Jetts Basingstoke will be extremely unique to other gyms in the area as it will be an affordable boutique gym."
Basingstoke-born Vishnu, a former IFBB Champion bodybuilder, who has won numerous international accolades and has been a professional fitness model for close to a decade, explained what the gym has on offer.
He said: "The gym has state-of-the-art equipment that hasn't been seen before. Having teamed up with gym brands Gym80 and top-of-the-range equipment from Technogym and also have Basingstoke’s first posing room."
A posing room is a dedicated space for bodybuilders and fitness enthusiasts to practice their posing routines and flex their muscles, looking in a mirror.
To create the 7,000sq ft gym, the former Iceland store was given a "big strip out", Vishnu explained.

The gym will offer personal training, screen and instructor-led classes, pin-loaded equipment, Olympic lifting platforms, shower rooms, a dedicated stretching zone, a free weights zone, plate-loaded equipment, a sled and sprint track, a functional training zone and a cardio zone.
"We’ll be bringing the very best of Jetts to Chineham Shopping Centre with world-class equipment, large functional and strength training areas as well as our inspiring J-Series classes, plus four hours free parking valid every time you train, whatever time you train," the company's website states.
Jetts will mark the third business to open at Chineham Shopping Centre in 2025 after estate agents Brockenhurst and health and beauty store Savers opened earlier this year.
