The first-ever employee at a Basingstoke-based IT firm has retired after 17 years of dedicated service.
Alan Clark joined StorTrec UK, then known as DataTrack Services, in 2008, becoming the company’s first hire following its founding by directors Mark Narraway and Mick Branch.
With decades of industry experience, Alan played a key role in the early development of the business, helping to steer it through the global economic crisis and laying the groundwork for future success. His leadership helped shape both the operational culture and stability of the company, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to influence StorTrec for years to come.
Reflecting on his time at the company, Alan said: “Being part of StorTrec’s journey from the very beginning has been a privilege.

Managing director Mark Narraway praised Alan’s lasting impact on the business.
“His professionalism, loyalty, and steady leadership helped build the strong foundations we stand on today. We’re very grateful for his contribution and wish him a long, happy, and well-earned retirement,” he said.
