Summer Jazz Festival at Lord Wandsworth College, Long Sutton

The event will take place on the 1,200-acre grounds of Lord Wandsworth College (LWC) in Long Sutton near Hook on Saturday, June 21, with gates opening at 6pm,

The programme includes performances from London-based trio Salon Privé Jazz and the Paul Sykes Big Band.

The festival will take place in the school's grounds. (Image: Lord Wandsworth College) Dominic Hall, bandleader and drummer with Salon Privé Jazz, said: "It was a real pleasure to perform in the grounds of Lord Wandsworth College for the National Garden Scheme Open Garden Season in April.

"The staff made us feel so welcome and we’re very much looking forward to coming back."

Salon Privé Jazz promises soulful sounds from the Great American Songbook, while the Paul Sykes Big Band will deliver classic swing and jazz.

Bandleader Paul Sykes said: "Playing together as a band, feeds the soul.

"We love the challenge of trying to achieve a perfect performance each time, whilst entertaining the audience."

Guests are welcome to bring picnic rugs and enjoy the evening.

A selection of street food, as well as locally produced beers, wines and spirits, will be available.
