MULLED wine and spices filled the air as guests browsed stalls for that perfect Christmas gift at Basingstoke Rugby Club's Christmas Market.
The event, which raised money for both Basingstoke Rugby Club and The Rainbow Unit at Basingstoke Hospital, was held in the RFC clubhouse on Friday, December 13.
The event was scheduled to kick off at 6.30pm and finish at 9pm but doors opened slightly earlier as long queues were eager to get inside.
Christmas music provided a wonderful soundtrack as guests browsed stalls filled with candles, sweets, chocolate, mulled wine, food, dog treats, and more were on offer, with one lucky winner taking home £250 from the raffle.

The event was organised by Anna Birkett along with her husband Dave, from the award winning Little Black Dog Candles, who make hand poured vegan soy fragranced candles, wax melts and reed diffusers.
The room was packed with stalls from local businesses including Little Black Dog Candles, Maggie jojo's, Tropic With Alex, Crosspours Handcrafts, Shells and Gems handmade gifts, Turtle Tarot Emporium - mindfully spiritual, Twisted Gifting, Odins Snack Shop, The Big Book Co., Saxnōt Meadery, The Chocolate John, Oak and Soap Company, Frames, Gifts & Keepsakes By Liz, Handmade by Jaime, Four Seasons by Sarah, VB Distillery Ltd, New Every Morning Patchwork and Quilting, A Sign of Magic Makes, Handmade by Hedgehog, Niche Surprises, The Wonderland Gift Boutique. plot34achillis, SPDC dog charity and food from Global Kitchen Catering and Events.
A spokesperson for Basingstoke RFC said: "It was a great night, with the queues never ending to have a look and purchase some Christmas gifts.
"Keep an eye out for the next one."
