A Basingstoke leisure centre is offering complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits to help people struggling in the cost-of-living crisis.
Basingstoke Sports Centre has been designated as a 'Warm Space' by GLL, the not-for-profit charitable social enterprise that operates Better leisure centres.
From now until March 31, 2025, the centre will run two Warm Space sessions per week on Tuesday from 10am to 11am and Friday from 10am to 12pm.
The initiative, now in its third year, was set up in response to the cost-of-living crisis.

Paul Shearman, GLL partnership manager, said: "As a charitable social enterprise, we want to help local residents, so we’re making Basingstoke Sports Centre available for people to keep warm, charge a phone, and enjoy a friendly chat over a cuppa."
The centre will provide a comfortable seating area in the customer lounge, complete with a book corner and board games.
Visitors can also charge their phones or devices and use the free WiFi.
