The mayor and mayoress of Basingstoke and Deane visited a care home to meet residents and reminisce over the old times.

Mayor Cllr Dan Putty and Madam Mayoress Mano visited Barchester’s Cherry Blossom Manor, in Bramley, on Thursday, November 28.

The pair joined the residents for afternoon tea, music and song.

General manager at Cherry Blossom Manor, Gigi Despojo, said: "It was lovely to have Mayor Dan and Madam Mayoress Mano here for the day, we really appreciated their visit.

"We all had a wonderful day and we hope that they will come to see us again soon."
