Residents at a care home donned their cowboy boots for a Texas-themed dance class.
Those living at Care UK's Bourley Grange, in Bourley Road, in Church Crookham, were surprised to find their living room transformed into a Texas desert for the special event.
The day featured a country-themed performance from local dancers, Barn Dance Line Callers.
Residents and team members dressed up for the occasion, joining in with the dancing after the performance.
Resident Jean said: "I had a fantastic evening – I loved learning about the dancing with my friends.
"My favourite part was when you swing your partner by the arm – that was quite the move!"
Racquel Merdegia, general manager at Bourley Grange, said: "This August, we wanted to giddy up and do something different for the residents by bringing Texas to Church Crookham for the ultimate dancing afternoon.
"It was great to see the residents learning from the professionals and taking to the dance floor to some big country classics – the smile on their faces said it all.
"It was a lovely day for all the residents, and certainly one we’ll remember."
Designed to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives, while also promoting independence, Bourley Grange, which remains open to potential residents, incorporates space for hobby and leisure activities.
