Two retirement communities in Hampshire are inviting people to join for coffee and cake to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The first event will be held at McCarthy Stone's Yelland Place, New Road, Tadley, on September 25 from 11am to 2pm.
The second will be at Roslin Place, Station Road, Hook, on October 2 from 11am to 1pm.
The events are part of the annual Macmillan Coffee Morning campaign, which raises money to support the three million people living with cancer in the UK.
Guests and homeowners will gather in the communal lounges at Yelland Place and Roslin Place to enjoy cake and a brew with friends, family, and the McCarthy Stone team.
Verity McKay, divisional marketing manager for McCarthy Stone, stated they are delighted to be inviting people to help raise money.
She said: "It’s not only a fantastic opportunity to help promote the brilliant work that Macmillan do, but to also bring the community together across Hampshire and show people what life at a McCarthy Stone development is like."
The first Macmillan Coffee Morning was held in 1990 and has since grown into one of the world’s biggest fundraising events.
In 2023, more than £13 million was raised through coffee mornings nationwide.
