THE new Liberal Democrat MP for North East Hampshire has declared private donations totalling £5,500.
Among the items declared by MP Alex Brewer in the latest register of members’ financial interests were various donations given to her by individuals – although details of what the donations were for were not stated.
Ms Brewer won the North East Hampshire seat for the Liberal Democrats following the General Election on July 4, winning with 21,178 votes and taking the seat from former Conservative MP Ranil Jayawardena, who secured 20,544 votes.

According to figures published in the register of members' financial interests, Ms Brewer was given a private donation of £2,000 from Linda Mongomery and £3,500 from Glynn Neville.
The register lists donations the MP has received in her official capacity.
Ms Brewer has been asked what the donations were for.
