Hartley Wintney bowed out of the Emirates FA Cup when they went down to two unopposed goals from Larkhall Athletic from Bath.

The visitors started strongly and went ahead in just four minutes. Max Williams was the creator as he threaded a pass into the path of Jake Hicks who ran on and shot home. (0-1)

Hartley responded and a long throw on the right eventually found its way to George Wallace who headed wide.

The Row continued to press and on 19 minutes a cross from George Britton found Charlie Postance who saw his header saved by Adam Forster in the Larks goal.

On 27 minutes a cross from Wallace on the left found Liam Gavin who set up Aderi Dede who saw his rasping drive tipped over by Forster.

A minute later a long pass forward by Gavin found Wallace on the left and his cross saw Postance head just over.

The Larks with little of the play looked dangerous on the break and on 29 minutes a strike from Dawid Regula was tipped over by Hartley keeper Henry Poole.

Hartley returned to the ascendancy and a free kick from Wallace saw a header from Dede deflected over the bar.

Against the run of play Larkhall doubled their lead on 42 minutes.  Max Williams got free on the right and his cross was headed home by the unchallenged Ryan Beckinsale. (0-2)

As in the first half the Row had the bulk of the play and on 51 minutes a corner from Reece Wylie was headed over by Wallace. Two minutes late Postance flicked on for Aderi who saw his lob tipped over the bar by Forster.

On 69 minutes good interplay saw Wylie cross and Sam Bartlett saw his overhead kick saved by Forster.

From a breakaway Regula got free and the Row were indebted to Poole who pulled of a good save.

Dede got free on 81 minutes but his effort went wide.  Into added time and the Row were awarded a free kick when Forster stepped out the area with the ball in hands.  George Winser saw his free kick beat the wall and Forster did well to beat the ball out.

For Hartley it was a case of having many good situations but unable to score. The Larks with fewer chances managed two goals and progress into the next round.
