POLICE cordoned off a large section of the Holy Ghost Church cemetery in Basingstoke following reports of an assault.
Officers were called to the scene in Chapel Hill at about 11am today (Tuesday, September 23) following allegations that a 42-year-old woman had been assaulted and had her mobile phone and keys stolen by another woman.
The area was cordoned off by police officers while investigation work was carried out.
The victim, who is from Basingstoke, is understood to have sustained a minor injury.
A 39-year-old woman from Basingstoke has been arrested in connection with this incident.
