A BASINGSTOKE preschool has received a significant amount from a supermarket grant.
Treasure Island Playgroup, Carpenters Down, has become the proud receiver of Tesco's Community Grant award.
The preschool received £1,500 via the supermarket's blue token scheme.
The scheme is open to all schools, registered charities and not-for-profit organisations, with priority given to projects that provide food and support to young people.

The funds will be used to develop their outside area which has already meant that they could replace their mud kitchen and climbing frame.
The preschool is also developing two vegetable beds so that the children can plant, care for, harvest and eat their own vegetables.
They understand the importance of children being outside, both physically and mentally, and believe that it makes them smarter, healthier and happier.
