Dear Editor,
During the hot weather and long, dry periods, our beleaguered wildlife struggles to find water.
Please would you ask the people of Basingstoke to place clean water bowls outside for hedgehogs and other wildlife?

It takes a few moments to keep these clean and topped up, yet it means life or death for our amazing wild animals, birds and insects.
Also, try growing a tub of native wildflowers in a pot; they are beautiful, more tolerant of extreme conditions and again aid the creatures we share this planet with.
