THE Spooky Men’s Chorale will grace The Haymarket for their Basingstoke debut on Saturday, June 29.
The band, originating from the Blue Mountains of NSW in 2001, are known for their unique blend of a cappella, deadpan humour, and a distinct sense of style, deviating from the norm with mismatched hats.

Stephen Taberner, NZ-born founder of the Spooky Men, has woven together an eclectic mix of Georgian table songs, poignant ballads, unexpected cover songs and a treasure trove of original tracks that both praise and satirise 'boof'. The Spooky Men’s Chorale have completed nine UK tours, produced six CDs and performed countless sell-out shows and festival appearances.
In response to a mid-life crisis, they decided against becoming a tribute band to their former selves.
Instead, they chose to explore newer, more in-depth and absurd perspectives, as captured in their recent album, Welcome to the Second Half.
Tickets for the show are priced at £26, with a reduced rate of £15 for under 30s and full-time students.
