MONEY collected for charity was stolen from a Hook restaurant during a burglary. 

Burglars gained entry to Hook Tandoori restaurant, in Station Road, at around 7am on Saturday, May 18 and stole cash, documents and a charity box with money inside.

Police are now appealing for information and witnesses and have released an image of a man they would like to speak with.

Basingstoke Gazette: The man police would like to speak with and Hook TandooriA statement from Hampshire Constabulary said: “We appreciate his face is covered, but officers are keen to hear from anyone who may recognise his clothing or saw him in the area.

“Officers believe the man was in Hook for around an hour before the incident. Do you have any CCTV images, doorbell or dashcam footage which may help our investigation?”
