THE Chineke! Orchestra, known for their innovative music, will perform at The Anvil on Friday, June 7, featuring compositions from around the world.
The concert begins with Fela Sowande's African Suite, offering an exciting blend of Western and Yoruba influences. This showcases Sowande's impressive career in England, Nigeria, and the USA.
Mercury Prize-nominated Cassie Kinoshi, who dominates both composition and saxophone, will present a concerto for the distinctive handpan, crafted especially for the night's star soloist, Rosie Bergonzi.
