Police have attended a concern for welfare incident on the Itchen Bridge in Southampton.
At around 2.11pm on Tuesday, May 7, police were called to a concern for welfare of a woman on the Itchen Bridge in Southampton.
A number of police vehicles were in attendance, but traffic was not affected due to the presence of the police.
Hampshire Constabulary confirmed that the woman in question spoke with the officers at the scene.
Police also confirmed that the woman has left the Itchen Bridge and is now safe.
A spokesperson for the force added: “Police were called at 2.11pm to reports of concern for welfare of a woman on the Itchen Bridge.
“Officers attended and spoke to the woman who is now safe.”
The incident lasted for around 10 minutes until officers left the scene.
