A Hampshire hotel has been nominated in a couple of categories at a national hospitality awards, including for Best Independent Hotel.

Heckfield Place, which is located near Hook, has been shortlisted as part of The Cateys 2024.

The Cateys are described as the "biggest awards of their kind in the hospitality industry" which recognises "the strongest performers, most inspirational brands and highest flyers in the sector".

Their website adds: "Over 100 judges, chosen for their expertise and industry knowledge, met at the Savoy to debate the nominees and produce our shortlist.

"The winners, representing British hospitality at its best, will be revealed at a glittering event on 2 July at JW Marriott Grosvenor House London."

As mentioned above, Heckfield Place was nominated for Best Independent Hotel as well as for the Best Marketing Campaign Award.

On its website, it describes itself as a "country haven, sculpted by ancient heather, woodland, gardens and meadows".

Meanwhile, in terms of its food offerings, it said: "Each day sublime produce is drawn from our Home Farm and gardens to be simply prepared and served in Heckfield’s restaurants.

"From Marle restaurant to fireside cooking at Hearth, our menus are directed by Skye Gyngell with dishes and drinks inspired by seasonal estate grown ingredients."

On Tripadvisor, the hotel has also been well-received with it earning a score of 4.5/5 from 495 reviews.
