A man tried to smash a door in an attempted burglary before fleeing the scene.
Officers are investigating the early hours incident at an address in Silverlake Road on April 13.
An attempt was made to break into the Southampton property between 3am and 4am.
The culprit tried to force open a side window and smash a rear sliding door window.
However, the offender was disturbed by the residents and then fled empty handed.

Officers are now hoping to speak with a man in connection with this incident.
He is described as: white, age 20 to 30, of medium build and with dark medium length hair.
He was wearing a light-coloured hooded jumper, a jacket and Nike sliders.
