A YOUTH theatre group in Basingstoke will host an acting workshop for children aged eight to 17 tonight.

The workshop, hosted by Limelight, will take place on Monday, March 18, at Everest Community School, from 7pm to 9.30pm, and will introduce children to theatre performance.

The Frozen: The Musical workshop will welcome children of any ability to attend and learn choreography for songs from the best-selling children's film such as First Time in Forever and Fixer Upper.

The workshop will be run by West End actor Rhianne Alleyne, who has performed in a list of major roles, has been seen on BBC and ITV, and featured in Frozen: The Musical at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.

The organiser, Limelight, is a community-funded group and all profits raised from events are used to produce future shows and performances.

In addition to performing, young people who join Limelight are encouraged to help run the group, with opportunities to participate in decision-making, marketing, technical aspects and directing, and the group frequently organises outings and theatre trips.

Spaces to attend the workshop are limited, and can be purchased for £30 from limelightbasingstoke@gmail.com.
