Just before 7pm on Friday, March 1, officers were called to reports of anti-social behaviour and that a group of youths were acting suspiciously in the Hart Shopping Centre car park.

Another boy was found in possession of cannabis.

A 14-year-old boy from Fleet was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A and Class B.

Fleet Police Sergeant Geoff Hill said: “We are seeing increased reports of anti-social behaviour in the town centre and our officers will be increasing our patrols in the area.

“My message is simple – anti-social behaviour and drugs offences will not be tolerated in Fleet.

“We want to stamp out this type of behaviour and encourage affected residents to please keep reporting this to us so we can take the most appropriate action to reduce any disruption to the local community.

“We will take action, and this could lead to you having a criminal record. We have specific powers to deal with anti-social behaviour and we will use these if the situation requires it, or if someone is persistently causing a problem.”

A 16-year-old boy from Fleet was also handed a community resolution. As part of the order, he has to accept support from the Youth Justice Service for substance use.
