A DRUG driver from Andover has been disqualified from driving for a year.

On Monday, September 4 last year, Anthony Coward of Marchment Close, drove a Honda Civic on Seal Road with not less than 2.8ug/l of Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol in his blood- the legal limit is 2µg/L.

During a hearing held at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, February 20 the 32-year-old pleaded guilty to the offence.

Magistrates banned Coward from driving for 12 months and ordered a fine of £441 to be paid.

Court costs of £85 and a surcharge fee of £176 must also be paid.
