A DEVELOPER has unveiled draft plans ahead of a formal consultation on proposals to build 50 new homes in Bramley.

Metis Homes is looking to develop land at Bow Brook Farm in Vyne Road, Bramley.

The site is located on the western side of Bramley village.

Metis will shortly be consulting the community on its proposals, which includes 11 one-and-a-half-storey homes in the north-eastern section of the site, with the remainder of homes being two-storey.

The draft plans include a central green corridor providing public open space, including a play area along with the retention of existing vegetation, landscape, and ecology buffers around the boundaries to help screen the development and deliver biodiversity net gain.

Metis Homes said it is an independent, privately-owned and locally based homebuilder with a track record of delivering high-quality developments across West Sussex and Hampshire, and has received a number of industry awards, including the prestigious ‘UK’s Best Small Housebuilder’ at the WhatHouse? Awards.

The developer is carrying out a public consultation on its emerging plans this month, where it will gather feedback to further refine the scheme and reflect the views of the local community.

The public consultation runs until March 4.

Commenting on the plans, a Metis Homes spokesperson said: “We are very pleased to showcase our draft proposal for a new sustainable development in Bramley. We’re proud to be bringing forward plans that will help address local housing needs, as well as providing public open space, and enhancing and retaining ecological features.

“We feel our plans will offer a range of benefits to the local community, and we would encourage everyone to take part in our consultation and send us your views."

Metis plans to submit a planning application to Basingstoke & Deane District Council in late Spring/early Summer of 2024.
