A Costa in Basingstoke has been shut for nearly a week so a refurbishment can be completed.

The cafe in Chineham Shopping Centre was closed on Wednesday, January 24, with no explanation provided.

On the door, a sign was posted that read: "We will be closing at 5 o'clock apologies for any inconvenience caused."

Workmen were spotted inside the store with stepladders and tools a few days later.
