A DYNAMIC mother-daughter team has opened what they hope will be a chic shopping destination in Basingstoke's Top of Town.

Fatim Sherifou, 36, and her teenage daughter Bintou Kane, opened the doors of their new boutique, MBS Fashion, on Saturday, January 20, marking a fresh chapter for the family and the town.

Located at 4 Church Street, the storefront was previously occupied by Fastfair Convenience Stores, Vintage Treasures, and more recently Surya's international food shop.

It has now transformed into a haven for fashion enthusiasts seeking clothes, designer bags, and shoes.

Fatim and Bintou moved from the Netherlands to Basingstoke just five years ago.

Their passion for fashion and the desire to contribute to the town's retail scene motivated them to embark on this exciting venture.

Expressing her enthusiasm for the new business, Fatim said: "I am very excited about this new business and am eager to cater to the diverse fashion tastes of Basingstoke residents."

She personally selects pieces from around the world, ensuring that the collection is unique and diverse.

Joining her mother in this entrepreneurial journey, Bintou is a student at Peter Symonds College.

Even with the demands of her studies, Bintou dedicates her free time to assist her mother in managing the boutique.
