MAGISTRATES have banned a man from Basingstoke who was caught on the roads while over the drug-drive limit.

Jack Oxford, of Alpine Court, on Friday, August 11, last year, drove a vehicle in Chiltern Way.

It was found that he had 240 micrograms of benzoylecgonine per litre of blood and 39 micrograms of cocaine per litre of blood. The legal limit is 50 and 10 respectively.

The 29-year-old pleaded guilty to the driving offences on Thursday, January 11. At Basingstoke Magistrates' Court, on the same date, Oxford was banned from driving for 17 months.

A fine of £460, court costs of £85 and a surcharge fee of £184 must also be paid.
