A DRINK driver from Andover who took to the roads in Basingstoke has been banned. 

On Sunday, October 1, Lauren Hanson, of The Close, drove a vehicle in Beggarwood Lane, Basingstoke, with 140 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 80.

The 30-year-old appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on Thursday, December 21 and pleaded guilty to the offence.

Magistrates banned Hanson from driving for 15 months and ordered a fine of £410 to be paid.

Court costs of £85 and a surcharge fee of £164 must also be paid.
