BASINGSTOKE Wetherspoons have reduced the price of a range of drinks and meals for the first few weeks of the new year.

Managers at The Maidenhead Inn, in Winchester Street, and The Angel, in Festival Place, are reducing prices of a range of items from its menu, from Tuesday, January 2 until Wednesday, January 17.

The drinks featured in the sale include draught beers and ciders, AU vodka spirits, classic cocktails and a range of hot and cold soft drinks.

The low-alcohol and alcohol-free drinks included in the sale are Erdinger, Brewdog Punk AF, Stella Artois,  Heineken 0.0, Kopparberg Strawberry and Lime, Adnams Ghost Ship and Beck's Blue.

Customers can also enjoy savings on food too, with offers on a small breakfast consisting of a fried egg, bacon, sausage, baked beans and a hash brown, at just £2.99.

There will also be a selection of burgers in the sale, such as the American burger, the classic beef burger, and the crunch chicken strip burger, all served with chips and a choice of a soft or alcoholic drink.

The pubs will also be serving a range of small plates, including halloumi-style fries, chicken wings and Nachos, with any three for £12.

The Angel manager, Jo Stevens-Yule, said: "Department stores and shops hold their sales in January, so it is the perfect time to have a sale in the pub too.

"The range of drinks and food on sale in the pub is aimed at suiting a wide variety of tastes. This year we have included our biggest selection of low and non-alcoholic drinks.

"I believe that the January Sale will prove popular with our customers. As always, staff at the pub will serve customers responsibly."
