THE new layout of Brighton Hill Roundabout is a total nightmare for pedestrians.
Why did they have to get rid of the underpass? I wanted to cross today from Harrow Way to visit B&M.
I am a very short-sighted senior citizen, so it was a terrifying experience. With four lanes of cars speeding around I couldn't see where and when to cross and finished up trying to run.
I had my dog with me and luckily my son otherwise I would have just got to the middle and froze.
It didn't even feel safe in the middle as there were no barriers. If a car skidded it would be dangerous.
At one point I thought I was on a path but my son said no you are in the road!
It really shook me up and I won't be using it again. How long before there's a serious accident there? Why are pedestrians second-class citizens in this town?
