A MAN from Suffolk has been handed penalty points after driving without due care and attention in Basingstoke.

Charles Doran on Wednesday, May 10 was caught by police driving a vehicle on the A33 in Basingstoke without due care and attention.

During a hearing held at Aldershot Magistrates' Court on Friday, December 1, Doran's solicitor entered entered a guilty plea on Doran's behalf. The 27-year-old did not attend court.

Magistrates endorsed Doran's driving licence with three penalty points and ordered a fine of £53 to be paid.

Court costs of £85 and a surcharge fee of £21 must be paid.
