THE Northern Lights have once again been spotted over Basingstoke.

Aurora borealis, better know as the Northern Lights, has been pictured over pictured over Basingstoke yet again.

Having made a few appearances in the night sky over our town this year, the beautiful lights have been captured on camera by one of our readers.

Vineet Nangia, a resident of the town, shared these photos of what he described as "an electrifying experience that I had the privilege of witnessing."

He spotted the aurora between 7.30pm and 8pm on December 7, he said: "The Northern Lights graced our skies yet again, painting an awe-inspiring spectacle against the backdrop of Roman Road and Wayside Road.

"The cosmic dance of colours illuminated the night, weaving ribbons of emerald green, ethereal violet, and hints of passionate crimson across the heavens.

"It was a sight to behold, captivating everyone fortunate enough to witness this breathtaking phenomenon.

"The way the auroras shimmered and danced across the Basingstoke skyline was nothing short of magical, evoking a sense of wonder and joy among all who beheld it."

Vineet was also able to film the celestial display, which is so rare in our region, and upload it onto YouTube.
