MAGISTRATES have fined a Basingstoke man who assaulted and obstructed a police officer.
Daniel Hunt, of Lunways Road, on Sunday, October 29 assaulted PC Doyle and obstructed them from carrying out their duty on Lunways Road in Basingstoke.

During a hearing held at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, November 28, the 39-year-old pleaded guilty to the offences.
Magistrates ordered fines of £1,066 to be paid, court costs of £85 and a surcharge fee of £426.
