A halo was spotted around the moon across Basingstoke last night.
The 'lunar halo' has been spotted in the night skies on Saturday, November 25.
A ring around the moon was seen across Hampshire and neighbouring counties of Surrey and Berkshire, plus the Isle of Wight.

It is caused when a thin layer of cirrus cloud made up of ice crystals moves across the sky.
Refraction of the light by the ice crystals causes the halo to form.
According to the Met Office, the halo can suggest that it might rain soon.
