A NEW family-run Italian pizza business has opened in Basingstoke, offering a taste of authentic Neapolitan pizzas to locals.
Timofei and Veronica Dragan, the husband and wife team behind Mono Pizza, are based in Brookvale near Basingstoke town centre, and the couple ensures each pizza is crafted with love and authenticity.
Taught how to make pizzas in London after having lived in Italy, business owner and chef Timofei was inspired to bring his skillset to Basingstoke residents.

Timofei said: “I started the business because of a passion for cooking and the taste of authentic Italian pizza. I worked in an Italian restaurant, Arte Chef, in London and I also had opportunities to work with a famous family who have a Michelin Star. They are a family with a history of restaurants passed from father to son.
"We moved from London to Basingstoke and were inspired to bring the traditional flavours to our local community. Our pizza is Neapolitan, and we use all the ingredients from Napoli to ensure that you get the taste of Italy with every bite.”
What sets Mono Pizza apart is not just the delicious pizzas but also the commitment to using traditional recipes and high-quality ingredients.
Pizzas available include Salamino, with spicy Italian tomato, mozzarella, tomato sauce and fresh basil and Ciccio Napoli, with artichokes, black olives, pancetta and mozzarella.

From the finest cheeses to the freshest vegetables, every element is carefully chosen to create a memorable dining experience, whether you prefer a classic like a Margherita or something with a bit of spice.
To celebrate the grand opening, Mono Pizza is offering 30 per cent off all pizzas ordered before Thursday, November 30.
The collection-only pizzas are each handmade and cooked in a pizza oven and are available for pick up at Highfield Chase, just minutes away from Morrisons supermarket in Worting Road.
