Hartley Wintney and South Park battled out a scoreless stalemate with the Row indebted to goalkeeper Callum Coulter who produced a good number of fine saves, writes David Graham.

The Sparks from Reigate started strongly and on two minutes a fine move ended with a well-struck Ethan Ford shot producing a fine save from Coulter.

Two minutes later the visitors should have gone ahead. A corner on the right from Ben Jordan was returned into the area from the left and Ford headed over when well placed.

Hartley settled and came into the game but without testing Danny Bracken in the South Park goal. On 37 minutes Deondre Date and Ford got behind the Row defence and Coulter brought out another excellent diving save from the latter.

As in the first period, it was the visitors who were quickly in the ascendancy.

However, the first chance came to Hartley on 53 minutes.

Marcio Neves found George Wallace on the edge of the penalty area and his shot was pushed around the post at full stretch by Bracken.

Five minutes later Date for the Sparks managed to create a chance for himself but his shot lacked power and Coulter saved.

On 61 minutes a cross into the Row area was not fully cleared and the Sparks had an excellent chance to score.

Ford set up Ollie Twum in front of goal who shot over the crossbar.

As the pressure from Reigate continued another excellent chance was spurned. Twum found Date in front of goal and the strikers shot went wide.

With the Row having their backs to the wall another chance arrived on 65 minutes. Loose play in the Row defence led to a chance for James Mc Elligott who saw Coulter come out and save.

Hartley finally got a foothold in the game and finished strongly as the visitors appeared to fade.

An excellent chance for the Row arrived on 79 minutes. Taylor Morgan and Jayden Smith combined well and a through ball sent Neves clear.

However, the Hartley winger miscued his shot and the ball went wide.

The Row continued to probe but a mistake in defence ended with Jordan getting a good chance and again Hartley were indebted to Coulter for a good save.
