A MAN in his 20s has been robbed in Basingstoke and two men snatched his phone, wallet, hat, and gloves.

The reported incident occurred just after 7pm on Sunday, November 5, on a path that links Queen Mary Avenue and Sutton Road, near The Vyne and Dove House schools.

The victim was walking along the path when he was approached by two men described as wearing dark clothing with the bottom half of their faces covered.

Initially, they spoke to the victim before walking off.

They then returned shortly afterwards and pinned him against a fence and robbed him.

They took his belongings before running off in the direction of Sutton Road.

The first suspect is described as being white, around five foot seven inches tall and of medium build.

The second suspect is described as being taller, around six foot, and also of medium build.

Police are now appealing to hear from anyone with information about the street robbery after carrying out enquiries.
