A SHOPLIFTER has been told to pay compensation for stealing from shops across Basingstoke.
Leon Davies, of Sycamore Tree Road, Oakley, stole from stores between October 15 and October 25, a court heard.
On Sunday, October 15, the 25-year-old stole Fairy Liquid to the value of £28 from a One Stop shop. On Tuesday, October 17, he took cleaning products worth £61.25 from One Stop.
On Friday, October 20, Davies targeted Superdrug and stole make up items valued at £131.34.

The following day, Saturday, October 21, he again targeted the same shops, stealing make up worth £119.88 from Superdrug and Fairy Liquid from One Stop worth £14.
Davies targeted Tesco on Sunday, October 22, stealing chocolates worth £14.50, the following day he stole from Tesco again, taking £18.75 worth of pizza and alcohol.
He returned to Superdrug on Wednesday, October 25 and snatched make up and skin care products to the value of £80.
During a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on Friday, October 27, Davies pleaded guilty to eight counts of theft from a shop.
Magistrates ordered Davies to pay compensation to all the shops he stole from, totalling £467.72.
